Robbery at Bargain Booze, Hardwick Hall Way, Daventry: CCTV image released

POLICE in Daventry have released a CCTV image of a man they want to talk to in connection with an alleged robbery at Bargain Booze, in Hardwick Hall Way, on Friday (11 December).

The incident happened at about 7.20pm, when the offender went into the store, threatened the cashier with a kitchen knife and demanded money from the till.

The member of staff handed over a quantity of cash and the offender left the shop, making off on foot towards the nearby reservoir.

The offender is described as a white man, in his mid-20s, about 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in, with a slim build. He had short ginger hair with a freckled face and blue eyes, and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a hooded top, dark-coloured tracksuit trousers, dark blue trainers and a black scarf which covered the lower part of his face.

Witnesses, anyone with information or who recognises the man in the picture, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
